T19 STEILE WAND

/ 2

Diving at K19 Steile Wand (Steep Wall) is only possible in optimal diving conditions. That is to say: Low water, no wind, no current and not too much shipping. If these conditions are met, diving here is absolutely fabulous. Dive along the huge stone wall that steeply descends down to 30 meters. Starfishes, hermit crabs, beach crabs and lobsters thrive here like no where else. The dive site is located at Quaak, Irenehoeve but is not accessible from the shore.

Particulars

Enter the water from the boat. The boat moors at buoy K19, from which the name of the dive site originates. Steile Wand has an enormous biodiversity. Large sea needles, crabs, lobsters and hermit crabs live between the large heaps of rocks.

Warnings

Rent a boat or book a well-maintained boat dive, for example at the Tertius. The Tertius has all facilities on board, also for the disabled. Diving, only under optimal conditions. Current can sometimes be treacherous. No diving in fishing season, to avoid
