Kantduik bij LW springtij: veel stroming. Effe stappen tot dam. Eerste 7m slecht zicht, daaronder helder. Veel kreeften en sepia op diepte

Reaction mixture was filtered and filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain residue which was triturated with diethyl ether

Mooie duik vanaf de Tertius, prachtig zicht, landschapjes en wand. Sponzen waren ook mooi.

Oesterrif tot grote diepte, vol brokkelsterren. Zeesterren, veel en grote kreeften, 2 galathea's, harlekijn, zeenaalden, hooiwagenkrabben.

Matig zicht. 1-2 meter. Veel kwallen.

Duik op LW-kentering vanaf Tertius in luwte van de strekdam. Monsterkreeften! Galathea, bezaaid met schepjes, zeedonderpadje, 2x milennium.

Van de hoek terug gedoken naar quaak. Lastige instap. Leuk onderwaterlandschap. Oriëntatie op kompas. zandige bodem. Weinig stroming

Duik 1 met Tertius. Dankzij de harde wind en onweersbuien nogal wat oppervlaktestroming en deining. Weinig zicht, jammer.

Weinig zicht tot -5m, daarna ongeveer 1m. Op de zandvlakte een sepiola en veel garnalen, platvissen en krabbetjes. Veel eierzakken.

Helaas, gedoken vanaf de Tertius maar geen zicht. Leek wel duiken in de groentesoep die we net gegeten hadden.

Lastige (kant)duiklocatie. Ver lopen over gladde dijk en scherpe oesters. Zicht slecht en buiten wat kreeften en een wratslak weinig gezien.

Ons zat t vandaag niet mee...amper zicht en gedoe met oesterbank. Verkeerde stek voor deze wind. Wél gezellige picknickbankjes op de dijk!

Stavenisse Quaak is the eastern most dive site of the dive sites near the village of Stavenisse. It's a nice dive site covered with beautiful plumose anemones in shallow waters and starfish, brittlestar, mussels and anemones in the more deeper parts. Stavenisse Quaak is also know for its lumpsuckers, which can be spotted in spring. Currents can be very strong. Therefore limit your dive time to about one hour. You'll have the best visibility in an offshore, southeast wind.
Particulars
Enter Stavenisse Quaak via the breakwater at the corner of the dike. The site starts shallow but eventually reaches depths up to 40 meters. Dive in westerly direction to get back to the entry point. Park your car on the Keetenweg along the dike, near the campsite.
Warnings
Stavenisse Quaak is suitable for experienced drift divers only. Dive at low tide only. Be careful, boating channel nearby.
