The USNS General Hoyt S. Vandenberg is a former warship that was sunk off the coast of Key West as an artificial reef. The USS Vandenberg is a top attraction for divers from all places. The ship is the second largest artificial reef in the world. The Vandy, as divers affectionately call it, is two football fields long and has eleven floors! Due to the impact of hurricane Irma's, the deepest point of the ship is now at a depth of 50 meters.

Particulars

Descend to discover the USS Vandenberg. The four open decks are situated between 21 and 30 meters. The ship has eighteen stair towers and eleven elevator shafts. The entire wreck is teeming with marine life and is a must for every diver who visits the Florida Keys.

Warnings

Only wreck divers may enter the wreck of the USS Vandenberg. Make sure you have the right right certification.
