Difficult dive site

Gorishoek de Blokken is a popular dive site that attracts a lot of divers. The dive site consists of huge peat blocks, completely overgrown with sea anemones and orange-colored brick anemones. This is a beautiful and impressive sight. Gorishoek De Blokken, as mentioned, is not an easy dive site. You need to be experienced and familiar with the site conditions to dive safely. Diving in Gorishoek de Blokken is only possible at low tide. The name De Blokken stands for the huge peat blocks located in this dive site.

Particulars

To reach Gorishoek de Blokken, you first have to walk a few hundred meters from the dike across dried-up mud flats, called Slikken van Dortsman, to the fairway. A boat dive would be a good alternative.

Warnings

Don't make a free ascent at Gorishoek de Blokken and always use a deco buoy. Shipping takes place here. Unstable peat blocks. Treacherous currents.
