WINDGAT
Nederland, Zeeland
Windgat is a small dead-end side channel of the Pietermankreek in the Eastern Scheldt with fairly steep walls. These walls are the territory of large lobsters and crabs. The bottom of the gully is home to flatfish and pipefish. Dive at Windgat at low or high tide, with a maximum dive time of one hour. However, the current is considerably stronger at low tide,
Particulars
Enter dive site Windhole with a jump from the boat. Then use the rope hanging along the bow to reach the anchor chain. Now descend along the chain and keep following it until you reach the anchor. Dive northward before the turn of the tide, then turn around in the direction of the boat. Return to the surface via the anchor chain after your safety stop.
