Havenhoofd West lies west of the port of Zierikzee. Dive along the dike, which is beautifully overgrown with sponges and anemones, and slowly passes over into a sandy bottom. The diving area lies close to the boating channel and is part of professional fishing grounds. Havenhoofd West is a quiet and relatively unknown dive site, and therefore not frequently visited by divers.
Particulars
Havenhoofd West can be reached by foot. Park in front of the fence, on the side of the road and then walk to the entry point. However, it's a long walk. You may consider making a boat dive.
Warnings
Havenhoofd West is situated close to a boating channel, don't make free ascends. Professional fishing gear may be present, please do not touch. Close to the dams strong horizontal and vertical currents may occur.
