QAMMIEH POINT
Malta
Qammieh Point is an excellent boat dive on the 900 meter long reef which runs out in a western direction from Qammieh Point. On the reef's sides are steep drop-offs, to 50 meters on the north side and 60 meters on the south side. Away from the reef the depth increases to more than 100 meters. Still Qammieh Point is at its best close to the reef. Especially on the north side, with its many large boulders at shallower depths and with its large variety of marine life.
Particulars
Qammieh Point is situated at the north-western end of Marfa Ridge. The views from Qammieh Point towards Gozo and Camino are quite breathtaking. So don't forget to take a look before you enter the water. Common species at this reef are mory, stingrays, octopuses, scorpionfish and occasionally a seahorse.
Warnings
Currents every now and then.
