TOOLENBURGER PLAS
Nederland, Noord Holland
The Toolenburgerplas is a well-known dive site in the north of Holland with lots of marine life. The site has a spacious car park and also some facilities useful for divers. Typical of the Toolenburgerplas is the extensive diving course created by Duikteam Haarlemmermeer. Dive past the cars, vans or boats. You'll always come across a temporary resident, such as a pike or one of the catfish that inhabit this excevation. Apart from the wrecks, you can spot the catfish in the shallow water along the shore. Also interesting in Toolenburgerplas are the reefballs, the willow tents and the extensive peat wall and plant zone along the shore.
Particulars
You enter the water at the Toolenburgerplas from the shore. The first few meters are shallow. That makes it easy to put on your fins. Now descend in search of pike, carp and catfish.
Warnings
Watch out for the high speed bumps at Toolenburerplas. Drive slowly on IJweg! Dive in the diving area if you want to find the objects. In autumn and spring the grass area can be very slippery.
