Spiegelpolder is a well-known dive site in Nederhorst den Berg, Noord-Holland, The Netherlands. It's a beautiful site with depths up to 45 meters. Large stakes on the north shore form a beautiful artificial reef, where eels, bass, crayfish and Chinese mitten crabs can be found. Furthermore, Spiegelpolder is an excellent night dive site. At night you will spot dozens of swimming eels.
Particulars
Enter dive site Spiegelpolder from the jetty. En the water at the beach on the east bank if you want to reach the cutter and the yacht. The cutter lies at 15 meter (300 degrees) and the yacht at 7 meter. Then continue your dive in western direction towards the jetty. This all will take about 70 minutes under water.
Warnings
Dive site Spiegelpolder has reduced visibility in strong southern wind. Visibility differs above or below the thermocline. Take a buoy with you to warn boats. Iron in stakes may cause disfunction of your compass.
