SPIEGELPOLDER ARK
Nederland, Noord Holland
Spiegelpolder Woonark is a beautiful dive site in the Spiegelplas in Nederhorst Den Berg, with a large houseboat at an average depth of 5 meters. The wreck is 10 meters long and 3 meters wide and is inhabited by large zander. The wreck is surrounded by several other wrecks including a fishing boat, a motor yacht and a couple of old barges. The bottom is flat and therefore not very interesting. Spiegelpolder Woonark is an easy, shallow dive. Visibility is almost always good and the wreck cannot be entered.
Particulars
Spiegelpolder Woonark can be reached by boat. Don't have a boat? Contact a diving school, such as Technical Diving College. Descend along the anchor line. The houseboat looms almost immediately. The wreck is completely covered with freshwater mussels, but is in poor condition. The front end is partially collapsed. Circle the wreck to look at the details and spot marine life. Then focus on the rest of the area.
Warnings
Do not enter the houseboat in Spiegelpolder Woonark! The wreck is unstable and therefore not safe.
